My Work

Rachel M. E. Wolfe is a theater artist, teacher, and scholar residing in Clinton, NY. She received her Ph.D. in Theater Studies with a doctoral emphasis in Feminist Studies in March 2016 from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her work on gender and adaptation in European theater has appeared in Women's Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal, the Journal of Adaptation in Film & Performance, and Ecumenica: A Journal of Theatre and Performance and has been presented at theater conferences across the country. When not researching theater or teaching about it, Rachel can be found in the studio and rehearsal room making it--she has directed numerous plays in both English and Spanish, and is the co-founder of a Seattle-based theater company, Handwritten Productions. Presently, she works as an Associate Professor of Theatre at Utica University in Utica, NY.
